The Pennsylvania Golf Course Owners Association exists to help golf course owners and operators across the state stay connected, share resources, and strengthen their businesses.

One of the most practical ways to do that is by making it easier for members to buy, sell, and share access to the equipment, supplies, and services they need to operate their facilities.

That is why PGO has added an Equipment Buy/Sell Marketplace to the association website.

The marketplace gives PGO members and Pennsylvania golf course operators a simple place to post golf course-related items for sale and connect with other operators who may be looking for them.

A Practical Member Benefit for Golf Course Operators

Every golf course has equipment needs that change over time.

A course may upgrade a mower, replace a utility vehicle, clean out the maintenance building, switch vendors, sell extra supplies, or look for a cost-effective way to complete a project.

At the same time, another course may be searching for exactly that kind of item.

The PGO Equipment Buy/Sell Marketplace is designed to help make those connections easier.

Instead of relying only on scattered emails, text messages, phone calls, or social media posts, members now have a central place on the PGO website to post and browse golf course-related listings.

The marketplace is intended for PGO members and Pennsylvania golf course operators, and listings should be related to golf course operations.

What Members Can Post

The marketplace is built around the kinds of items golf courses actually use.

Current listing categories include:

Mowing and turf equipment
Maintenance vehicles
Shop tools
Irrigation
Chemicals and supplies
Clubhouse operations
Services
Other golf course-related items

Members can create listings with a title, description, category, condition, price, location, photo, and contact information. The marketplace also allows interested buyers to contact the seller directly through the site.

Photos are optional, but strongly recommended. A clear photo helps other operators quickly understand the item, its condition, and whether it may fit their needs.

A good listing should include practical details such as brand, model, age, condition, known issues, pickup requirements, delivery options, and the best way to contact the seller.

Why This Matters

Golf course operators are often trying to balance quality, reliability, and cost.

New equipment can be expensive. Replacement parts can be hard to source. Seasonal needs can appear quickly. Some items may still have useful life at one course even after they are no longer needed at another.

The marketplace gives members another way to create value from their PGO connection.

For sellers, it creates a targeted way to get an item in front of other golf course operators.

For buyers, it creates a place to find golf course-specific equipment, supplies, and services from people who understand the business.

For the association, it creates another useful reason for members to visit the PGO website and stay connected throughout the year.

Built Around Member-to-Member Connection

The golf course business is relationship-driven.

Operators often learn from one another, share ideas, recommend vendors, and help each other solve problems. The Equipment Buy/Sell Marketplace brings that same spirit to the PGO website.

It is not meant to replace the conversations members already have. It is meant to make those conversations easier to start.

A member who posts a listing may help another course solve a problem. A member who finds the right item may save money, save time, or avoid buying something new. Both outcomes strengthen the PGO network.

How to Use the Marketplace

PGO members can visit the Equipment Buy/Sell Marketplace on the PGO website to browse available listings or post an item.

When posting, members should make sure the item is related to golf course operations and include as much helpful information as possible. The listing form includes fields for the title, description, category, condition, price, location, optional photo, contact name, email, and phone number.

The page also notes that listings are intended for PGO members and Pennsylvania golf course operators.

Visit the Equipment Buy/Sell Marketplace

The marketplace will become more useful as more members use it.

If your course has equipment, supplies, or services that may be helpful to another Pennsylvania golf course, consider posting a listing. If your course is looking for something, check the marketplace regularly.

This is another way PGO is working to make membership more practical, useful, and connected for golf course owners and operators across Pennsylvania.
