For more than three decades, Quail Valley Golf Club has been a staple of the golf community in south-central Pennsylvania, offering an enjoyable golf experience, outstanding course conditions, and a welcoming atmosphere for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Located just outside Littlestown, Quail Valley opened in 1993 and has remained a family-owned operation since Scott and Colyn Keller, Grandson of former New York Yankees star Charlie Keller, purchased the facility in 2004. While ownership remains firmly rooted in the Keller family, the club has evolved significantly in recent years through strategic investments in facilities, technology, and professional staffing. In recent years, Colyn’s son, Corbyn, has assumed a leading role in overseeing daily operations.

“We’ve always tried to provide a great golf experience, with overall course conditions, especially exceptional greens, at a fair price,” said Corbyn Keller, Director of Golf. “That combination has helped us build tremendous loyalty among our customers.”

A Commitment to Continuous Improvement

One of Quail Valley’s greatest strengths is its willingness to evolve while maintaining the qualities golfers have come to appreciate.

The course features two distinct nine-hole layouts highlighted by exceptional greens that have become the facility’s signature. Recent agronomic improvements have focused on enhancing turf health and pace of play, including the removal of select bunkers and trees throughout the property.

“Our greens continue to be one of the biggest reasons golfers return,” Keller said. “Maintaining that reputation is always a priority.”

The club’s signature hole is the picturesque 13th, an island-green par three that provides both a memorable challenge and one of the most photographed views on the property.

Professional Leadership Driving Success

A major catalyst behind Quail Valley’s recent growth has been the addition of dedicated golf and agronomic professionals.

Andrew Geesey, PGA, joined the operation as General Manager, bringing fresh ideas, modern marketing strategies, and a strong focus on player development. In 2025, the club also hired Christopher Fauble as Head Superintendent, while Colyn Keller continues to play an active role in overseeing course conditions and greens management.

The combination of family ownership and professional expertise has proven to be a winning formula.
“Hiring a PGA Professional and additional superintendent have been of the best decisions we’ve made,” Keller noted. “It allows everyone to focus on their strengths while continually improving the overall experience.”

Leveraging Technology for Better Golf

Quail Valley has embraced technology to enhance both operations and customer service.

The facility recently introduced E-Z-GO GPS-equipped golf carts. In addition to enhancing the golfer experience, the technology has significantly improved operations. Golf shop staff can monitor pace of play remotely, helping keep groups moving efficiently around the course. The carts’ geofencing technology has also been instrumental in protecting sensitive turf areas and reducing cart traffic near greens.

The club has also implemented dynamic pricing through PriSwing software integrated with Club Prophet Systems. Initially viewed with some hesitation, the strategy has exceeded expectations.

“We’ve been able to adjust rates, maintain strong rounds and continue customer demand,” said Geesey. “It’s helped us better match pricing with demand while continuing to provide value.”

Additional technology enhancements are already in the works, including expanded use of Golf Genius Premium to streamline tournament scoring and outing operations.

Investing in the Facility

One of the most visible recent improvements is a new outdoor deck overlooking the property. The addition has enhanced food-and-beverage service while creating an inviting gathering space for golfers before and after their rounds.

The project also delivered substantial operational benefits. A new cart barn was constructed beneath the deck, allowing the club to store its golf cart fleet indoors for the first time. The barn’s convenient location near the staging area and its drive-through design have significantly improved efficiency in managing cart operations while reducing labor costs.

The investment reflects Quail Valley’s commitment to continually reinvesting in the facility while enhancing the overall guest experience.

A Course Built Around Community

With more than 40,000 rounds played annually, Quail Valley’s impact extends well beyond daily golf.
The facility hosts numerous outings that support local charities and community organizations. Leagues fill the schedule five days a week, and the club proudly hosts several junior events as well as the local high school golf team.

In 2026, Corbyn Keller will begin serving as head coach of the local high school golf team, further strengthening Quail Valley’s connection to the community and the next generation of golfers.

A key reason for bringing PGA Professional Andrew Geesey onto the team was to expand the club’s commitment to growing the game. In his first season, Geesey will lead efforts to host a PGA HOPE event on August 5, supporting veterans, active-duty military personnel, and reservists through the game of golf.

Looking ahead, Geesey plans to introduce additional player-development programs, including PGA Junior League and Operation 36. He is also excited to continue using TrackMan technology into his teaching and coaching programs, creating new opportunities for golfers of all ages and abilities to improve their games.

Looking Ahead

While Quail Valley continues to benefit from golf’s post-pandemic popularity, the leadership team remains focused on long-term growth.

Future plans center on junior golf development, continued facility enhancements, and leveraging technology to improve the customer experience while maintaining the value that has made the course successful.

For Keller, Geesey, and the entire Quail Valley team, the goal remains simple: provide a welcoming golf experience, exceptional course conditions, and great greens that keep players coming back.

With a blend of family ownership, professional leadership, strategic investment, and a deep commitment to its community, Quail Valley Golf Club is well-positioned for continued success and remains a shining example of Pennsylvania golf.
